Apollo Memorial Library, founded in 1908, is the oldest library in Armstrong County. It serves the residents of Apollo, North Apollo, and the surrounding areas. Our library offers a collection of approximately 30,000 books. This includes large type books and over 450 new children’s books purchased with an LSTA grant. Local newspapers and popular magazines are available in addition to audio books, videos, music CDs, and DVDs.

We participate in the ACCESS Pennsylvania network, which allows our patrons to borrow materials from participating libraries across the state.

The library offers a large genealogy collection which includes close to 200 family histories and many other resources that deal with history. The Apollo Book Club meets monthly at the library.

Memorials & Tributes

Many celebrations and events invite us to honor a special person—birthdays, anniversaries, anniversaries, graduations and retirements. Give special attention to important times in the lives of the people you care about through a monetary donation toward the purchase of library material to honor a significant person or occasion. In the event of someone’s passing, you can express your sympathy and commemorate a loved one, friend or business associate through our memorial book program. An acknowledgement will be sent to the honoree or family of the deceased and to the donor for all tributes and memorials requested.
