Easy Steps to Change Your Flight with Alaska Airlines.

Finding out what kind of flight you are taking is the first step in changing an Alaskan flight. You're out of luck if it's a Saver fare since they cannot be changed. On the other hand, you can cancel a Saver fare and receive a full refund if you do so within 24 hours of booking. Some simple steps must be followed to change your booking with Alaska Airlines. Continuing on the topic, in this blog post, we present all the steps needed to change your itinerary with Alaska. Take a look.

Steps to be Followed

You can make free changes using Alaska Airlines Change Flight if you have a main or first-class ticket. You will only be responsible for any fare difference. To begin, sign in and navigate to the flight you wish to modify in your account's "Upcoming Trips" section. Next, choose "Change Reservation":

Step 1: Decide which passenger or passengers you wish to modify.

Step 2: Select "Change this trip" in step two.

Step 3: Select the "Change Flight" tab located under the "Departing Flights" section.

Step 4: From the dropdown menu, choose the type of fare you want. Since the choices are a little confusing, we'll explain them here:

Lowest Main or First Class:

The most affordable main or first class ticket that is offered. Although you can cancel these flights, you won't receive a refund; instead, Alaska will credit your account with the cost of the flight or you can receive a credit certificate for that amount.

Main or first class fares that are refundable:

You can cancel a main or first-class ticket and get a complete refund.

Mileage: A fare that can be upgraded with Mileage Plan miles applied.

MVP/MVP Gold/MVP Gold 75K: This fare entitles MVP/MVP Gold/MVP Gold 75K members to a free upgrade to first class or premium.

MVP Gold Guest: A fare for which an MVP Gold guest upgrade code is valid.

Step 5: Select "Continue" from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6: Select a different flight. The fare difference or credit owed will be shown on the right.

Step 7: Proceed to the checkout page to complete the change(s). Check out Alaska Airlines Name change Policy as well.
