In compliance with the directive from the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries and supported by Governor Tom Wolf, Kittanning Public Library will be closed to the public indefinitely. We hope to reopen soon but will continue to monitor the situation. Even though Armstrong County is moving into the yellow phase, our Library cannot open until the Office of Commonwealth Libraries gives us the guidelines for reopening procedures.
There are options available to patrons during this time.

Tumblebooks has offered 5 free e-resources for all libraries, links are added to our catalog page, no membership required.
Overdrive e-books and e-audio books are free to anyone in Armstrong, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties. You will need a mobile phone number to sign up. No membership required.
With a valid library card, most online resources are available 24/7. Books, downloadable audio items, and online magazines are available for checkout.
Many databases are available to assist with reference inquires. Visit www.armstronglibraries.org/kittanning for access to these resources.
Limited Library staff will be available via email to answer your questions.
The library will relax borrowing policies during this state mandated closure. Due dates will be extended during this time and late fees will not apply. You can continue to enjoy your items you have borrowed for now, and materials can be returned via book drop located outside the library.
In addition to the closing, all Kittanning Public Library story times, events, programs for all ages will be cancelled until further notice.

Every Friday at 10:30 join Ms. Christina for stories, games, and music. For ages 3-5
music time for toddlers
Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. join Ms. Christina for music and dancing. For ages 2-5.
Cook book club meets on the first Wednesday of each month. everyone picks a recipe from a selected cook book, prepares it and brings it to share.
